With the economy changing, and technology making it easier for the average Joe to produce videos and create graphic designs, Film/Video and Graphic Artists is becoming a dying breed. We as true artist take pride in our work and use our skills, not as a hobby but as a way of life. We are equipped with something that not everyone dabbling in the creative field has: We possess passion. A strong drive to create and to express our vision on to paper or film allows our work to stand out from the crowed. Often our work, talent and skills go unnoticed because of the industry cluttered with those who can and have access to easy to make software and machines that take the place of a real artist. With each day it gets harder and harder for those who posses the talent and passion to get jobs in these fields or even grow their own business. This occurs because although the talent and skill is embedded in us like codes in a computer, we are not taught the business techniques of selling our products and services. In a perfect world we would be able to create and sit back and let people appreciate our hard work. In reality we must put just as much working into promoting our selves as we do creating and perfecting our craft. This blog is to share tips and personal experiences about my journey to becoming more than just an artist.
“It is easy to make but it is a talent to create.”
